Thick, cool woodlands, sprawling wildflowers and a whole lot of furry forest friends: this stunningly intricate tapestry was commissioned by a wealthy couple in 1892, and created for William Morris’s company by artist John Henry Dearle. Although known more for his printmaking, Morris himself called tapestry “the noblest of weaving arts”, and was clearly impressed by his apprentice’s ability to produce work as fine as this.
Hip-length, easy to wear and featuring square-cut sleeves, this is destined to be your go-to piece for when your outfit needs that extra push in the direction of 'awesome'.
