Vincent Van Gogh spent some of the later years of his life at a Saint-Remy mental asylum, which gave him the monastic-like isolation the artist craved and allowed him to create nearly 130 artworks. His studies of the irises found in a small garden outside the asylum’s walls were among the first of these, and exude a sense of joy and admiration in their simple existence.
This dress takes the floaty fabric and flattering neckline from our Sheer Midaxi style, and adds a short skirt and more fitted bodice.
