Inspired by the sugar skulls of Dia de los Muertos. The traditions of Dia de los Muertos - or Day of the Dead - date back hundreds of years to an Aztec celebration of the goddess and Queen of the Underworld Mictecacihuatl ('Meek-teka-see-wahdl' or 'Meek-teka-kee-wadl'), whose job it was to watch over the bones of the departed. Sugar skulls are often part of offerings placed in homes to welcome the dead as part of the modern Dia de los Muertos festival, and they look great stylised and on your torso.
