This particular work by Alphonse Mucha was made famous when he used it as the poster for his first exhibition in the Slav Epic cycle, which was a series of - you guessed it - epic paintings dealing with Slavic mythology. His daughter was the model for the woman in the foreground, and the statue in the background is Svantovit - the Pagan Czech God of destiny.
