Labyrinth’s production designers created the iconic impossible staircase set from a series of multi-directional stairs and a few big mirrors. Oh, and fun fact: the scene where Jareth pivots over the side of a ledge and continues to walk on the other side upside-down was an actual thing performed by a stunt person with a pivoting steel rod attached to his leg. Because that’s just how things were done in 1986.
