Demonic entities, nightmarish creatures and writhing, agonised bodies: this artwork really does have a lot going on. It depicts the rebel angels that archangel Michael banished from heaven, and was engraved by Alexis Loir I from Charles Le Brun’s painting sometime in the 1680s. Epic.

– Made from a sheer mesh fabric, lined to around mid-thigh length
– Three tiers for extra swishiness
– Not quite a midi, not quite a maxi, this skirt falls in between these lengths, around mid-calf
– Elasticated waistband to hold it in place
– Unhemmed skirt for the perfect flow
